The rooms were super comfy and warm, staff were incredibly welcoming and enthusiastic, explaining all the amenities and nearby activities in detail. The inclusiveness of the staff was impressive. The small cottages were quaint and had everything you needed for a perfect stay - comfy beds, great showers, spotlessly clean. The location was stunning, with beautiful views of the lake and easy access to walking tracks. The owner was friendly and accommodating. Great value for money, with a variety of accommodation options. Free kayaks were a bonus. Highly recommended!

As a solo traveler, I stayed at Possum Lodge for a few nights and it quickly became my favorite accommodation in NZ. The staff, especially Henry, were incredibly accommodating and friendly. The grounds were well-maintained and the cabins provided a lovely and private stay. The location was perfect for exploring Fraser beach, Milford sounds, doubtful sounds, and local walks. Plus, the added bonus of free kayaks made it even better. I would definitely recommend and return to this comfortable and convenient lodge.
100% Recommend this hotel.

I gotta say, Possum Lodge nailed it. Amazing value for the money with cozy and well-equipped rooms. The location was to die for, right by the stunning Lake Manapouri. And the staff? Super friendly and helpful, made me feel right at home.
The morning meal could use a little improvement. Maybe a wider variety of options would be nice.

Our recent stay at Possum Lodge in Manapouri was fantastic! The location was perfect for visiting Doubtful Sound Cruises, just a short 5-minute walk away. The lodge is nestled in a beautiful beech forest with stunning lake views. We loved the laid-back atmosphere and the owner's friendliness. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and we had plenty of hot water for our showers.
